Rianna Czech, State Senate in Pennsylvania’s 50th District

I grew up on my family farm in Corry, PA. I am a working class Pennsylvanian that knows the meaning of a hard days work. I attended and was educated in a public school and after graduating from Corry Area High School, I enlisted in the PA Army National Guard. During my eight years of service, I earned my BA in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. I believe that education is the building blocks to a better society. No matter what path a person takes in life, I believe that education should be an option and not a barrier to a better life. Pennsylvania’s Constitution states our Commonwealth is responsible for the education of its residents, I believe the conditions and quality of that education should not be contingent on the zip code to which they live. I have worked in many fields from manufacturing to the service industry, and hospitalities to management. Currently, I work in retail and as an automotive technician. I understand the need for a livable wage, I know what its like living paycheck-to-paycheck, and at one time I had to make the choice between buying basic necessities or putting gas in my vehicle to get to work. I believe your representative should understand the struggles of their constituents, but also be able to present solutions to help them from first hand experience.
